UNESCO - the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - recognized capoeira as part of humanity's intangible cultural heritage on November 26th 2014.

We are a study group of the International Capoeira Angola Foundation (ICAF) Northwest Chapter, under the guidance of Mestre Silvinho. We are located in Bellingham (WA), and based out of Western Washington University, but encourage and welcome participation of members of the broader community. While school is in session, we have regular (FREE) practices are on Mondays (in the Viking Union room 464) from 6 to 8pm.
